I should probably introduce myself…
Hi!
If you have made it this far, THANK YOU! I have poured hours into this website trying to make it as simple and beautiful as my skills would allow. Knowing that you have stuck around for this first blog means the world.
As I was thinking about this website and the adventure it would be for me, I couldn’t get past the fact that most of y'all don’t know me. Most of you have never been in the same room as me, shook my hand, or heard my cornbread accent, and I couldn’t get over that! I feel that if you are going to read these blogs, buy these books, and have a front row seat to this crazy life of mine… you should probably know me.
So that’s what this blog is about… getting to know Abigail Meredith.
(don’t get excited, it’s not that serious…)
Let’s start with the basics:
I am a 23 year old woman from rural Arkansas. I have been married to my husband, Jack, for three years on FRIDAY! We own a 40 acre farm where we raise beef cattle and hair sheep, and/or anything else I see on Facebook that I can sneak home before my he says no (lol!). I am a published author of a children’s book series titled,” Abby’s Acres”. (psst. you can totally go to the top of the screen and get a direct shot to Amazon where my books are available.) I am currently working on a new series AND another surprise project that will drop here FIRST when it’s time! When I am not farming or writing, I work at a local school as a paraprofessional during the school months, and I have my own business as a swim instructor during the summer months.
Ya girl stays BUSY!
Now for my pros and cons… (I think I should be honest with my strengths AS WELL AS my flaws)
Pros: Strong, Confident, Determined, Passionate, Driven, Independent, to name a few.
Cons: Impatient, Can have a temper, Easily Stressed, Emotional, to also name a few.
and guess what? I own it. I am not perfect, never will be.
I am just me. Doing my best. Learning everyday.
THAT’S what this blog is about.
Look, even if no one reads it, this blog is about helping. Helping me mostly, and I hope maybe it helps someone else somehow, cause everyone needs an outlet and everyone wants to feel seen and heard.
I’m not going to sugarcoat this though. Some days I’m sure these blogs will get deep, some will be sad, some will inevitably make you mad, some will be funny, and I’m sure some will make you wonder if I have spent too much time around the farm…
No judgement here. Just love and learning.
Cause we all need a little bit of both.
You in?
xoxo,
Abigail Meredith
